Question: What is Fat Free Puppy ?

Answer: Its a cut-down version of Puppy Linux, All the hard work was done by Big Bass, a regular user of the Puppy Linux irc channel.

Question: Why did he do it?

Answer: Lately Puppy Linux has been getting bigger and bigger and a lot of application are overlapped, meaning multiple text editors, sound & video applications, etc. So the this version is basically the bare essentials and all you have to do is run your pet-manager and add the application that you really want and not forced to have. Its all about freedom of choice.

Question: What applications are removed?

Answer: Scroll down (no scripts were changed or removed and it was built with packages using a 3.01 core)

Big bass has new way of making fat-free 3.01 cutting edge

1.) I Installed xdelta now you can update fat-free with a small
patch in the future

2.)I made a SFS of all the pet packages I removed from 3.01
install back what you want without having to search package lists

one easy download advantage with the sfs file called "build_back3.01.sfs doesn't need to be loaded on boot just one click and all the packages are available to you as ".pets"
install what you want

xorg is easily installed with xorg_BASIC-7.2.pet

install all if you like and have a puppy uninstaller using pet-get

3.) when I upload my custom setup puplet only run xdelta and you have an instant new distro.

**for fat free-users only all pets to restore to the " original 3.01" in one sfs file note :can be used with fat-free 3.00 also

just click on the sfs all the pets are there and remember to click on the icon again to unmount it

complete removed list : now all this is in a SFS called "build_back3.01.sfs" one easy download if you need it
